Project Overview

Coordination with local community members and stakeholders, Travis County, and the Texas Department of Transportation will play an important part of the safety analysis and feedback will be collected throughout the study.

The intent of the study is to identify near term improvements that could be made within the existing County right-of-way. This study includes traffic counts, speed monitoring, signage and pavement analysis, and a review of crash data.

Funding for this study comes from the 2016 Hays County Bond Program and additional funding for the design and construction of the identified safety improvements is proposed in the upcoming 2024 Hays County Road Bond Program.
